Chipstead Singers

Chipstead Signers are a charity choir and sing all around the village of Chipstead every year during the festive period. They sing at all the local Care Homes, nearby pubs and all the Sports Clubs in Chipstead and also provide some seasonal cheer at Drinks gatherings and Dinner parties in many houses in the community.  They raise for the following local charities; Q.E.Foundation, Diamond Riding Centre, Tadworth Court and the Royal Marsden in Sutton. In 2022 they were delighted to have raised £3,000!

They also organise a popular Spring concert every year at The Peter Aubertin Hall; “All in the April Evening“ including drinks, nibbles and a raffle.

All members all love singing and thoroughly enjoy bringing pleasure to so many in the village as well as helping various charities. For further information please contact Diana Fewtrell difewtrell@btinternet.com or 01737 554149

Chipstead Probus Club

Probus is a social club for fully or partially retired professional and business men living in and around Chipstead.   The main activity is the monthly lunch at Chipstead Golf Club, preceded by drinks from the bar.   The atmosphere is informal and there are no requirements regarding attendance.   Twice a year there is a slightly more formal Ladies Lunch at which partners and other female guests are welcome.   There is also a monthly programme of country walks, each ending with a pub lunch, and  there are a number of daytime sightseeing excursions or visits to a theatre or concert hall.   Partners and guests are nearly always welcome to come to these too.

We have around 65 members.  There is a modest entrance fee and very reasonable annual subscription.   For full details of Club membership and activities please contact the Secretary:

The Arts Society Chipstead

The Arts Society Chipstead is a member society of The Arts Society, a leading arts educational charity with a global network of 380 societies.   The Chipstead Society, formerly known as the Chipstead Decorative and Fine Arts Society (until the re-branding in 2017) was set up in 1988 by a group of friends in Chipstead with shared interest and curiosity about the fine arts. As a larger venue with a stage and screen and other facilities was required, it was decided to hold the lectures in the Banstead Community Hall in Park Road. Membership was extended to people living in the surrounding area.  Bill Parkinson and Richard Kelsall were the founder members, both serving at Chairman in turn. It was an immediate success and has been holding monthly illustrated lectures ever since, as well as visits to places of interest or art galleries and holidays, both in this country and in Europe. The 30th Anniversary was celebrated with a dinner in 2018.  Further details are available on the website: www.theartssocietychipstead.org.uk or by email to: infor@theartssocietychipstead.org.uk
