The idea of building two tree houses in Embers Shaw will not be progressed

You may have noticed that Chipstead Lodge is undergoing a makeover as it is prepared for its new occupants. The refurb is to remodel the building to provide 14 individual tenancies to deliver support and accommodation for vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and complex care needs.

Thanks to the efforts of Elizabeth Vetta, a CRA Committee member, our local ward councillors have selected her suggestion for local tree planting and are now investigating locations and choice of tree samplings.

Many residents have been aware that the Golf Club lodged an application for a significant increase in their licensing options including the number of occasions when they could operate beyond midnight. A public meeting was held on Jan. 24th and was attended by CRA members. I am pleased to report that due to previously lodged objections the Club significantly reduced the scope of this application. We are especially grateful to Angela Marshall, a CRA Committee member, for all she did in representing us.
