Some weeks ago, CRA committee member Elizabeth Vetta submitted a tree planting proposal for Chipstead to Reigate & Banstead Council for funding approval from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) system.

Chipstead bonfire event cancelled and future in doubt

Our local resident, Jon Grant, has just published a new book entitled “Discovering Old Chipstead”. This excellent book covers the history of the village from pre-history to the present day and each chapter is set within the context of the major national political, economic and social events happening at the time, which is most helpful in illustrating the reasons behind the development of the village.

Developers McCarthy & Stone are closing Outwood Lane in both directions for a short distance adjacent to their new development on the corner of Outwood Lane and Chipstead Way.
