In October Simon Kolesar stood down after four very energetic years as CVPS Chairman. During this period Simon has led the modernisation of the Charity, brought a new strategy to the CVPS and encouraged more volunteers to get involved in maintaining our land. The Trustees appointed John Stephenson to replace him, John knows the village well as he was a Borough Councillor for many years. Members will be asked to confirm this appointment at the Society's AGM to be held in Summer 2021.

The AGM of the Chipstead Village Fair and Flower Show, normally held in November, has been postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions. It is hoped that the AGM will be held early next year but,  should restrictions not be lifted, then it will be held remotely by Zoom.  Further information will be notified early next year.

Foodbank collections continue at the Rugby Club every Thursday between 11am and 1pm. The village can be proud of its donations over the summer, but with unemployment growing needs increase.
