Through its contacts with Reigate and Banstead Council the Chipstead Covid 19 Support Group became aware of the significant increase in the use of food banks

Starting in May there has been a collection point in Chipstead each Thursday morning between 11am and 1 pm. This has been a great success and through the generosity of village residents, an enormous amount of food and other essentials has been collected.

With increasing unemployment predicted, the need for food banks is unlikely to fall and a direct link has now been established with the Epsom & Ewell Food Bank. We have agreed to continue the Thursday collection in Chipstead. Starting on Thursday 6 August collections will be at Chipstead Rugby Club (next to The Meads car park). We very much hope that the village will continue to be generous in its support.

Any non-perishable food and other essentials will be gratefully received and the Epsom & Ewell Food Bank website lists those things that are especially in demand at:
