Many of the residents of roads in Chipstead turned out to remember and celebrate V.E. day with socially distanced parties and plenty of bunting evident. It proved an excellent opportunity to make contact again with many neighbours.

Our local councilors laid a wreath at the War Memorial at St. Andrew’s Church in Kingswood on V.E. day and three minutes of silence was observed as a sign of respect.
