New Speedwatch volunteers needed

Chipstead's Speedwatch team is recruiting

Speedwatch has been operating in Chipstead for over six years. We aim to reduce the number of vehicles speeding through our village to make our roads safer for all users, especially vulnerable pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. We are all volunteers and give a couple of hours a month, or as many as we can offer, to take part in the hour-long sessions.

The sessions are a great way of meeting other village residents and of helping to make Chipstead a more friendly, considerate place.  Nobody wants our roads to remain a speedy rat-run for the hundreds of vehicles that pass through every day.

If you would like to help you can find more information about Speedwatch on this website under the Club and Societies tab, then Other Organisations. The next training sessions, carried out by Surrey Police, will be on 28 and 29 April.

If you would like to join please contact Richard Wagner on rm@familywagner.net

We look forward to seeing you on the roadside in a hi-vis jacket soon!
