Many will be aware that major roadworks were due to take place at the M25 Junction 8 – A217/Reigate. However, we have been informed that the junction 8 roundabout improvements have been postponed by the Department for Transport. They say it now exceeds their budget. We will keep you informed when we receive any further information.

These are needed to widen the bridge over the motorway together with other enhancements and are due to commence after the Christmas period and may take up to 50 weeks to complete.

This will involve some closures of parts of the bridge and at times the diversion of vehicles. For example, vehicles which exit the M25 eastbound at junction 8 wishing to go on to the A217 to Reigate will have to travel north on the A217, U-turn at the Babylon Lane roundabout and south to Reigate.

The Kingswood Residents Association are fully involved in discussions and are working with Highways England to minimise disruption.
