Thameslink Taking Shape

A complete re-design of the Thameslink train network timetable is currently being implemented. From May 2018 to December 2019, new services will be introduced right across the network in a number of phases, providing services such as Brighton to Cambridge. The May 2018 timetable will provide 70% of the new services.

The new concourse at London bridge station is scheduled to be fully open on 2 January 2018. Network Rail is expected to complete all trackwork enhancements at London Bridge over the next major blockade at Christmas so that Thameslink trains should be running through London Bridge again but on exclusive tracks to platforms 4 and 5 in early January 2018, avoiding the agonising crawl through Loughborough Junction. Our local stations for Thameslink services are Coulsdon South, Purley and East Croydon.

The CRA has received a letter from Nick Brown, Chief Operating Officer for Govia Thameslink Railway who operate Thameslink Services. This letter illustrates the timetable changes in more detail, and is attached.
