17/02280/HHOLD - 61 Lackford Road Chipstead - Erection of a two-storey side extension incorporating a new attached garage and utility room replacing the existing facilities

No objections.

17/02291/HHOLD - The Ruffetts Outwood Lane Chipstead - Demolition of side garage and single storey rear extension, and replacement with one and two storey rear and side extension

No objections.

17/02076/HHOLD - Balgownie Starrock Lane Chipstead - Proposed three bay oak framed garage to the front of property, conversion of two internal garages into: bathroom, playroom and office and conversion of utility cupboards to bathroom and bathroom to additional bedroom on the first floor with new first floor window.

The size and bulk of the 3 bay oak framed garage is set close to the boundary at the front of the plot and as such may have a negative impact upon the neighbouring property’s visual amenity.

17/02283/HHOLD - Windover Coulsdon Lane Chipstead - Loft extension, external & internal associated works, additional dormer & replacement / alterations of existing dormers.

Comments submitted on the potential for negative impact on neighbour amenity and on the mature trees on the site.  Awaiting decision.

17/01719/HHOLD - The Gate House Hazelwood Lane Chipstead - Erection of single storey rear extension and first floor dormer window, with internal & external alterations and relocation of retaining wall. As amended on 31/08/2017.


17/02004/HHOLD - Fairview Outwood Lane Chipstead - Demolish single storey extension to rear and green house to side. Erect a two-storey extension to side.

Comments submitted that the extension may be more intrusive to the neighbouring property than the current single storey building it will replace. Awaiting decision.

17/01934/F – Hinsdale Outwood Lane Chipstead – Demolition of the existing detached bungalow and construction of 2 detached 5-bedroomed houses 

Application is for 2 x 2 1/2 storey detached houses on a reduced plot, land at the rear and front having been sold on to another property. 

Refused on grounds of cramped development out of keeping with the area and the potential for damage to protected trees.  One of the objections submitted by residents was conflict with a covenant related to the site,  RBBC said that whilst this conflict was a private legal matter, planning permission would not override any other legal matter such as a covenant.

17/01732/HHOLD – Middlemarch 4 Lissoms Road Chipstead – Demolition and reconstruction of front boundary wall, replacement gate, proposed additional dropped kerb and removal of trees and hedges in front garden. 

Refused – excessive loss of existing hedges combined with the removal of 2 protected trees was not acceptable in principle.
