About This Website
Welcome to the Chipstead village website; we hope you enjoy your exploration of our historic village.
This website incorporates a Village Forum which operates in close conjunction with the monthly CRA newsletters and where you can ‘Have Your Say’ about village issues. The Forum also provides Chipstead residents with a Right of Reply facility for comments on the newsletters.
Many of the thumbnail images on the site can be enlarged with added captions by clicking on the image. Some images automatically rotate to alternate images, especially those in the ‘Then & Now’ section.
The Chipstead Village website has been funded by the Chipstead Village Preservation Society (CVPS) and developed and maintained as a joint venture by the CVPS and the Chipstead Residents Association (CRA).
The material appearing in this website was prepared by members of the joint CRA/CVPS website committee. The committee would like to acknowledge the valuable contributions provided by the residents of Chipstead and members of local clubs and societies, who have reviewed and provided expert advice on the source material. Special thanks must also go to our production team:
